Annie Nelson
Founder: The American Soldier Network
Former Executive Director: The HollyRod Foundation
Television Broadcaster
Accomplished Fundraiser

Ms. Annie Nelson began her professional life as a television and sports broadcaster. Branching out into modeling, event planning, and fundraising led to deep and lasting relationships within the world of non-profits. Well respected and considered a top resource for celebrities and their causes, Ms. Nelson enjoyed both an outstanding reputation and a staggering network of professional and media contacts.

Ms. Nelson’s achievements led to her recruitment as Executive Director of the HollyRod Foundation, Event Director and Marketing Consultant for Stillpoint Resources, and Marketing and Event Coordination Consultant for CARMA.

Then on 9/11/2001, Ms. Nelson brought her mainstream life to an immediate halt. Affected like so many, she decided to replace an abiding grief with substantive action. Determined to know more about the military - and about the nature of its incredible men and women - Ms. Nelson begin a pen-pal relationship with three Marines from Camp Pendleton, CA. Sharing a home state of Illinois between them, Cpl. Jesse Schertz, transformed Ms. Nelson’s appreciation for soldiers and their families. On 12/22/2004, a suicide bomber in Iraq attacked Cpl. Shertz and their mutual pen-pal, Tyler Ziegel. On that day, Annie Nelson devoted herself completely to the plight of our Troops.  She founded the American Soldier Network and never looked back.

As founder of the American Soldier Network (ASN), Ms. Nelson advocates in every conceivable way for members of the military. In this capacity, she raises campaign funds to increase national awareness, advances multifaceted efforts to support American troops, and coordinates high-profile events in appreciation of military service. Also a pet lover, Ms. Nelson combines her love of dogs with her devotion to the military, personally participating in programs to comfort wounded veterans with the presence and affection of loving animals.

Annie Nelson has duly earned the support and respect of an impressive Advisory Board. Comprised of executives and celebrities who share her passion, Ms. Nelson counts among her Advisors: Singer, Michael Bolton; Actor, Kevin Sorbo; Actor, Tom Arnold; Actor, Nick Searcy; and Actor, Joe Montegna. There are many others, and the assistance rendered by each has been nothing short of inspiring.

Annie Nelson is dedicated to securing a bright future for veterans, their families, and the country they defend. Her sincerity, ardor, and spirit will infuse an unabated energy into Thinkubator and its Gridiron Grinds coffee cafe project.
